A
condition in which endometrial tissue escapes the uterus and becomes attached
to other structures in the pelvic cavity is known as endometriosis.
The
main symptoms of this condition are pelvic pain and infertility. Some of the
causes may be retrograde menstruation, embryonic
cell transformation via hormones, immune system disorder, surgical scar
implantation and others.
