The Atlantic Charter, issued in 1941 and signed by 26 Allied nations in 1942, had these provisions:
1. A renouncing of territorial aggression
2. No territorial changes without consent of the peoples in those territories
3. Support for self-determination (the right of people to choose their own government)
4. Access to raw materials for all nations
5. Aiming to improve the economic condition of all people
6. Freedom from fear and want
7. Freedom of the seas
8. Disarming aggressor nations
