NYC is considered a suburban community. The reason being is there is no woodland (rural) areas within 2 miles of the city limits

New York City is considered as a Suburban Community because as u see it is not rural because there isn't farms and grasses not urban either it is suburban HOPe this helps!!!!!!!!!!
