Susan and Jamal are playing volleyball. Susan spikes the ball. When she strikes the ball with her fist, it flies into the air and over the net. Eventually, it falls down and lands on the ground. Jamal is unable to get to the ball in time to hit it back over the net. Susan gets a point!

susan was able to overcome gravity by applying a upwords force into the ball allowing it able to shoot into the sky the but the ball is being brought down by gravity so it can be put back to the ground
