Pathogens are disease-causing microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and viruses. These diseases can be transmitted by mites and ticks and can be fatal too. There are many ways how pathogens are transmitted and the most common one is through direct contact. Other ways include: droplet infection, contaminated food and water, through contact of bodily fluids, and lastly through vectors.
