I'm working with varibles on both sides. This is math, also algebra 1. The expression is... 8-4a=16-8a I'm so confused on which side to subtract from. I tried doing +8 on both sides. Please help.
You can have "a" on both sides and still get an answer easily. You start off by adding 8a to the right. That makes 8+4a=16. You then subtract 8 from 16 and get 4a=8. Divide by 4 to get your answer. You get a=2
