There are only 52 cards in a deck to begin with so not 53. There are 13 of each card. Meaning a 1 in 4 shot the first time and then 1 in 4 for you second try. Multiple you denominators and you get 4x4 = 16. You have a one in 16 chance of 2 diamond cards in a row or 6.25% chance
