Timmy is helping his grandpa on his chicken farm. Timmy has to pack 66 eggs into cartons, minimizing the packing cost. He can use 12-egg cartons and 6-egg cartons. Two 12-egg cartons cost as much as three 6-egg cartons.

You can use 5.5 12 egg cartons.
Or 11 6 egg cartons.

I’d say 12-egg cartons. Although you don’t want to use half an egg carton, there will be more eggs. Also they are cheaper. You can pack 24 eggs for the same price you can package 18. Therefore Timmy should use the 12-egg cartons.
