Total distance

First  bounce

160 feet

Second bounce

= 1/2×160 = 80 feet

Third bounce

= 1/2×80 = 40 feet

Fourth bounce

= 1/2×40 = 20 feet

Hence:

Total distance= (160 feet+ 80 feet + 40 feet+20 feet

Total distance= 300 feet

Therefore the total distance traveled by the ball is 300 feet.
