leah has a mass of 50kg and is using a 3.4m ladder. The acceleration is equal to 9.8 meters per second squared. What force, in Newtons,does Leah exert on the ladder when she is standing on it ?

We don't really care what size the ladder is.  All we need to figure out is the quantity that most people call her "weight".

           Weight  =  (mass)  x  (gravitational acceleration)

                       =  (50 kg)  x  (9.8 m/s²)

                       =      490 Newtons  .

                    (about 110.2 pounds)
