B. Draw a voltaic cell in which the displacement of silver ions from solution by aluminum metal occurs. Label the cathode, the electrons. Also, indicate the direction of the flow of cations and anions from the KNO3 (aq) salt bridge. Write an equation for the half-reaction occurring at each electrode, write a balanced equation for the overall reaction, and write the cell diagram.

Respuesta :

The voltaic cell that s composed of aluminum and silver is shown in the image attached.

What is a voltaic cell?

We define a voltaic cell as the kind of cell that produces chemical energy from a spontaneous chemical action. We know that the voltaic cell would have a cathode and an anode.

The anode is the point by which current enters the system and the cathode is the point by which current leaves the system. Now we know that the anode is positively charged while the cathode is negatively charged.

In the image that we can see, it is clear that the cell diagram would show that the there is a salt bridge that is made of a salt solution that has the function of preventing the solutions from mixing. The reaction would be composed of two half cells.
