You can set up an equation of x+(x+11)=67, with x being the lesser number, then you can work out that 2x=56, and that x, the smaller number, is 28, and the other number is 39.
Let's set up an equation, then we can solve. 
The bigger number is x, and the smaller number is y.

[tex] \frac{(67 - 11)}{2} [/tex] = y

Then solve. 

[tex] \frac{(67 - 11)}{2} [/tex] = 28

Now we'll make an equation for x. 

28 + 11 = x
Solve:
39.

The numbers are 39, and 28.
