Is "Aboard A Slave Ship" by Olaudah Equiano and is "Benjamin Banneker Writes to Thomas Jefferson" a protest in literature?

I just need to know if they are so I can answer a question. I'm not asking you to answer the question for me that's why I didn't post the question. I just really need to know if the stories are protest.

I would say they both are a sort of protest. So I would say yes.
