A family went to a baseball game. They parked the car in a parking lot which charged ​$15. The cost per ticket was ​$21. Write an equation for the total cost of going to the baseball​ game, where y is the total cost and x is the total number of people. If the family spent ​$183​, how many people went to the​ game?

the equation is 183= 21x+15.  
You have to subtract $15 from $183 because of the car which gives you $168 the divide that by $21 because of the people which gives you 8. So 8 people went to to the game. Hope i helped!!
