Please Help Me On These Questions!!!!!! I need Help!!!!!
1. The larger of two integers is 1 more than twice the
smaller. 3 times the square of the smaller, increased
by twice the larger, is 41. Find the larger positive
integer.

5. Mark is 7 years younger than his brother Steve. If
the product of their ages is 60, find both brothers'
ages.

1. This is one confusing question... But here is what I did
x = 2y + 1
y = [tex] 3y^{2} [/tex] + 2x

So plug in Y to solve for X
x = 2 ([tex] 3y^{2} [/tex] + 2x) + 1
x = [tex] -2y^{2} [/tex] - [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex]
Not sure if that's completely correct, but I'm positive I didn't make any mistakes...


5. You have to find the multiples of 60 so...

1 60
2 30
3 20
4 15
5 12  <---

7 = 12 - 5
