Gelisa set a goal of running a total of 32 miles this week. She ran 4 1/2 miles each morning, Monday through Friday. How many miles does she need to run this weekend in order to reach her goal for the week?

8+1=9

Goal = 32 miles.

Monday to Friday = 5 days 

1 morning = 4 1/2 miles = 4.5 miles
5 mornings = 4.5 x 5 = 22.5 miles

Miles needed = 32 - 22.5 = 9.5

Answer: she needs to run for another 9.5 miles to reach her goal.
